Funeral services for James "Buddy" Perkins, age 79, of Richards will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Brother Cliff Herrington officiating. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery's Chapel in the Park Mausoleum. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.

Buddy was born June 10, 1932 in Beaumont, Texas and passed away on June 4, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a businessman in Conroe for 45 years. His loves were farming and ranching, purchasing items at auctions and fishing. He was a member of the Conroe Bass Club for 15 years and did many sponsorships with Ducks Unlimited.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, James Smith and Thelma Sturrock Perkins Sr., and his sisters, Eloise Ellis and Juanita Patin. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Perkins of Richards; daughters, Laura Lynn Livesey and husband Dennis of Conroe and Mona Marie Landrum and husband Greg of Montgomery; son, James Michael Perkins and wife Lynn of Conroe; grandchildren, Ryan Marshall Gollogly, Chad Michael Gollogly, Holly Elizabeth Baker, Brittany Lynn Landrum, Anthony Michael Perkins, Carly Jean Perkins and Kayla Nicole Landrum; great grandchildren, Rome Marshall Gollogly and Grayson James Sherman.
