Funeral Service for James Robert Lowe, Jr. of Cleveland, Texas will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 P.M in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with full military honors. The Rev. Ray Hyden will officiate the service. Visitation will be held in The Chapel one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Lowe was born on October 16, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James Robert Lowe, Sr and Zella Inez (Avant) Lowe. James passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017 in Conroe with his wife by his side.

James proudly served his country in the Army from 1956 until 1962. After serving in the military, he began working for Trinity Construction where he stayed for many years before retirement. After a short time of retirement, James went back to work; this time for Harris County- Road and Bridge Division and stayed there for many years before retiring again. Throughout his life, James enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and raising cows. Gardening was one of his favorite past times after his retirement and tomatoes were his specialty. James was a loving man who was an excellent provider for his family. His love and kindness will be dearly missed.

James was preceded in death by his brother, John E. Lowe and his parents, James R. Lowe, Sr. and Zella I. Lowe. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 51 years, Rosa F. Lowe of Cleveland, Tx; sons, Jimmy F. Lowe and wife, Deb of Houston, Tx and Bobby E. Lowe of Houston, Tx; brother, Bud Lowe of Colorado; sister, Kathy Baker and husband, Don of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ryan Lowe and wife, Melissa and Lauren Lowe; great grandchild, Cami Lowe; many other dear relatives and friends also survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Coushatta Trace/Wreaths Across America, 2003 Timberlane, Conroe, Texas 77301.
