James T. (Jim) Schrock was born June 27, 1949 in Conroe, Texas to Thomas and Bonnie Schrock. He passed away at the age of 64 on April 3, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. Jim graduated from Conroe High School in 1967 and was continuously loyal and supportive to his alma mater. He graduated from Sam Houston State University where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He began his career with Moran Utilities in Conroe in 1968. In 1990 he continued his career in marketing with Entex/Center Point until his retirement in 2012. His commitment to this company lasted 44 years. Jim was an active member of the Conroe Noon Lions Club for many years and the Conroe Chamber of Commerce. He was President of the Conroe High School Exes Association and instrumental in the Grady Spikes Tiger Memorial. He was very involved in his community and served on several non-profit organizations. Jim enjoyed fishing, boating, going to the beach, snow skiing, working outside in his garden, music from the 60's, and his beloved pets. Jim looked forward to visiting with his lunch bunch every Wednesday. His greatest joy was his family and doting on his grandchildren. Jim never met a stranger and was a Conroe historian. His laughter and joy of life will forever be remembered. He will be greatly missed. Jim is survived by the love of his life wife Victoria, daughter Rachel Rankin and husband Todd, sons Jonathan Schrock, Kent Schrock and wife Kim, daughter Carrie Solomon and husband David, and son Scott Poage. Grandchildren are Nash, London, and Lexington Rankin, Brylin and Audriana Schrock, and Greyson and Samantha Solomon. Sister Jerri Schrock Bernhardt and husband Jerry. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Conroe Noon Lion's Club or the Conroe Animal Shelter.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00PM Monday at Metcalf Funeral Directors. The funeral services will be 10:00AM Tuesday at Metcalf Funeral Directors with the interment to follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
