James Warren Cook was born to Annie Myrle (Peyton) and Roy Heywood Cook on September 19, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

Jimmy as he was called, contracted Polio at an early age, and on the advice of the family doctor, Pete and Myrle moved Jimmy and his younger brother, Curtis Paul, to Wilson County, Texas.

In 1958, Jimmy married Alice Jean (Bitty) Reeves. To this union, three children were born: Robert Earl Cook and his wife, Jessie of Rye, Colorado; Teresa Ann Cook, Christopher Lynn Cook and his wife, Anissa, both of Conroe, Texas. They have one grandson, Roy Austin Lum and his wife, Courtney, one granddaughter, Rebecca Rose, and two great-grandsons, Cyle and Caleb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Myrle; a sister Nancy Patterson and a brother, Curtis Paul Cook and his wife, Joy and their daughter, Sandra. Jimmy has resided in Conroe for the past several years. For the last nine years, he has shared his life with Katherine Ann Cole Blackstock.

Jimmy is survived by his partner, Katherine; his children, Robert, Teresa, and Chris and their mother, Bitty; sister Nelda Cook Hoefelmeyer and her husband, Carl; brother, Horace Dale Cook and his wife, Nancy; one grandson, Roy Austin Lum and his wife, Courtney, one granddaughter, Becky Rose, and two great-grandsons, Cyle and Caleb; and his nephews and nieces, Mark Cook, Kevin Patterson, Danny Cook, William Hoefelmeyer, Karla Blackstock and Deanna Snow, along with several great-nieces and nephews.

Jimmy lived a full life as a welder, fabricator and small business owner. His family was always deeply involved in his enterprises. His faith in our Lord was strong, believing in God's Easter promise of life eternal with God in Heaven.

He will be missed on earth. We love you, Pop, Jim, Jimmy, and Uncle Jimmy. Honorary Pallbearers: Al Hauke, Joel Gates, Paul Greger and Billy Williams.
