Jayson Lee Dunmire passed away May 10, 2016. He was born July 20, 1937 in Ryde, PA. to O. Wilson and A. Mildred Dunmire.

Jayson was born and raised in McVeytown, Pennsylvania moving to Conroe, Texas in 1973. He was employed as a truck driver for Noerr Motor Freight and Owens Corning Fiberglass, retiring from Western Waste in Conroe, Texas in 1996. Jayson was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Conroe, since 1973, serving as an usher and a member of the Basic Sunday School Class and former member of the Beacon S. S. Class. He attended the Tuesday morning Men's Bible Study and breakfast at FUMC. He was an active member and officer at the Friendship Center Garden for many years providing fresh fruits and vegetables to many people. Jayson was also a volunteer at Conroe Regional Medical Center for several years where he was known affectionately as the "Popcorn Man". He was the 2009 Volunteer of the year.

Jayson is preceded in death by wife, Gayle L. (Bobbie) Dunmire in 2009, parents O. Wilson and Anna Mildred Dunmire, sister's-in-law Janet Dunmire and Ann Dunmire, sister-in-law Linda J. Eckert, and son-in-law Rodney R. Paiz. Two nieces, Cheryl A. Dunmire and Amy Jo Dunmire, also preceded him in death.

Jayson is survived by daughter's, Candi Paiz, Wendy Tucker and husband Paul, Kelly Jones and husband Carl; all from Conroe, Texas; son, Jason Dunmire and Kelly from Cypress, Texas; brothers, W. Ray Dunmire (Betty), William (Bill) Dunmire, Cecil Dunmire, Carl Dunmire (Barb) and Glenn Dunmire (Ruth); all from Pennsylvania. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Aura Kay Miller (Stanley) from Lewistown, PA and brother-in-law John P. Eckert from Mustang, Oklahoma; Jayson is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 4308 West Davis, Conroe, Texas 77304.
