Julius Drew Windham was born December 24, 1929 in Homewood, Mississippi and passed away on July 11, 2014 in Magnolia, Texas at the age of 84. J. D. was a family man, devoted to his wife and children. He was a resident of Conroe, Texas since 1972. He loved life and never met a stranger. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, after which he joined the National Guard and served as a pilot for twenty years. He owned a manufacturing representative firm in the heating and air conditioning industry for over thirty years as well as Chinook Industries, Inc. in Conroe, Texas. He and his wife are members of St. James Episcopal Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Drew Jones Windham and Dona Eady, by his son Donald Drew Windham and by his daughter Donna Sue Whitehead, by his brother Gary Windham and by his sister Mary Catherine Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife of forty six years, Sara Rebecca Windham (Becky) of Conroe, Texas. By his sons, Philip S. Windham and wife Amanda of Lake St. Louis, Missouri and Timothy B. Windham and wife Khanh of Conroe, Texas. By his daughters Diana Lynn Windham of Atlanta, Georgia and by Deborah Minor and her husband Stanley of Leesburg, Georgia, and their mother, Lauretta Strickland. By his brother, Bobby Lee Windham of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, by Linda T. Windham of Leesburg, Georgia. By numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A private family service will be scheduled at a later date at the Houston National Cemetery.
