Jean Orth Parrott-Maun was born on December 27, 1926, in Falfurrias, Texas, and passed away on December 13, 2013, in Conroe, Texas, after a short illness. Jean was an energetic and loving person who was devoted to Christ, her family and friends and has now gone home to be with her Father in heaven.

She completed her Masters in Speech Pathology and Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston. She was the director of Speech & Language Services in west Houston for a number of years. She was a member of Living Water Church of Spring and sang with the Woodlands Sweethearts. She enjoyed her time while living at Carriage Inn in Conroe for over the past year.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, C. L. "Polly" Parrott and Dale Maun. She was also preceded in death by her younger daughter, Sherry Rouse. She is survived by her daughter, Polly Gardner and husband Gene of Montgomery and son-in-law Wayne Rouse of Houston; sister, Betty Tapp-Millman; grandchildren, Elke Todd, Erika White, Erin Smith, Martin Rouse and Andrew Rouse, their spouses; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 11:00 am at Riverstone Community Church (19380 Hwy 105 W., Montgomery, Texas 77356).
