Jeanine Ellen Ross Early (81) of The Woodlands, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's, surrounded by her family. Jeanine was the only child born to Alvin A. (Buzz) and Mary Mildred Irwin Ross on June 16, 1934 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She grew up in the J.M. Huber Oil Camp near Borger, Texas, graduated from Stinnett High School and attended University of Texas. She quit college to marry her high school sweetheart, Tom Early who was the love of her life, on November 21, 1952. Jeanine worked full-time to support him while he attended UT and was on active duty in the United States Marine Corps.

A mother and homemaker, Jeanine enjoyed her family and friends. She was an athlete, champion bowler and also a sports fan who enjoyed attending and watching sports on T.V. Her greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family.

Jeanine leaves her family with the knowledge that they were truly loved and that she had an unwavering love for the Lord. She was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

Jeanine was predeceased by her parents, Buzz and Mildred, and a son, Steven A. Early. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tom; son, Jeff Early and wife, Brenda; daughter, Jennifer Early Kiser and husband, Gene; and her grandchildren, Lauren Early, Alyssa Early, Jacob Kiser, Joshua Kiser and Kathryn Early all of The Woodlands.

The family would like to thank Jeanine's caregivers, Tiffany Carroll, Mitzi Garner, Kaitlyn Garner and Robyn Rich, along with the hospice nurses, Amy, Amber and Jan at Memorial Hermann Hospice who became part of our extended family. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Jeanine their greatest gratitude.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384. Following a private graveside burial, there will be a memorial service celebrating her life that will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.
