The Guest Book is expired.

Jeanne Wechter, 93, died peacefully with one of her sons and daughter-in-laws by her side on August 2nd in The Woodlands, Texas. Jeanne, daughter of Rose and Sam Miller, was born and lived more than 50 years of her life in Brooklyn, N.Y.

While she was a very good student, because of the Depression she could not attend college but began working as a bookkeeper, which was her profession for many years. Throughout her life she continued her love of learning and was an avid reader of books and newspapers. She was known for her pleasant personality, friendliness and for being very honest and trustworthy resulting in a life blessed with enduring, deep-rooted friendships.

She and her husband Irving (deceased) moved to Florida in the 1970's where Jeanne was President of her Century Village condominium association for more than 25 years. Due to poor health, she relocated to Texas to be near one of her sons.

She was a loving mother to Alan and Carl and their wives Karen and Judy, devoted grandmother to Isaac, Lauren, Jonathan, Aaron and Benjamin and loving sister to Rueben and wife Jutta. We will all miss her smile, sense of humor and love of life.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM. Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Congregation of Beth Shalom of The Woodlands, 5125 Shawdowbend, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
