The Guest Book is expired.

Jennie V was born 20 February 1935 in Conroe TX, and passed away 1 August 2017 in Conroe TX, with family at her side. She suffered from COPD and stage four lung cancer, but ultimately died from a heart attack in the CRMC emergency room.

Jennie V lived most of her life on family property on Sapp Rd, where her great-grandfather, Forsyth B. Sapp, settled on about 2000 acres in 1860, having relocated from Georgia.

She attended Conroe High School, then married the late Lloyd Wayne Auld and finished high school in Willis in 1953. She married the late William German in 1960, and worked for many years at Weingarten's grocery store, and for thirteen years at CISD, cooking in school cafeterias. She truly missed the children after retiring.

Her routine every morning was sitting out on the deck drinking coffee, reading the newspaper and watching the birds at her feeders, accompanied by her life partner Stan and their dog Buster, who both sorely miss her.

Jennie's favorite vacation place was Garner State Park, where she started camping with her friends and children, later including grandchildren, and in recent years great-grandchildren. She camped there for fifty summer vacations, and so to celebrate her life and her love of Garner, twelve of the family are camping there now.

Jennie V was a long-time member of Mt Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Dewey Sapp in 1953, and Beulah Velma (nee Dampier) Sapp Stevens in 1977, her son Kenneth Wayne Auld in 2008, and stepson John E. German in 2011.

She is survived by her loving life partner of forty years Stanley N. Kaminski; her sister Joy Groce and her husband Billy Joe "Bill" Groce; her brother Gene Sapp and his wife Mary Ann; son Steven Lloyd Auld Sr and his wife Kathren "Kathy"; son William W. "Bill" German and his wife Angela; daughter C. Diane Rodrigues and her husband William A. "Bill" Rodrigues; stepson William M. "Bill" German and his wife Diane; stepdaughter Marguerite M. Knapp and her husband Timothy; daughter-in-law Dora B. Auld; stepdaughter-in-law Gail German; grandchildren Jessica M. Perez, Matthew A. Auld, Lindsay N. Orage, Steven L Auld Jr, Samuel W. Auld, Stephanie K. Auld, Justin D. German, Emma F. McCurdy, Hadley D. German, and Stanton Chevalier; ex-granddaughters-in-law Melanie Auld and Amber Johnson; nephews Billy A. "Andy" Groce and Martin G. Sapp; nieces Cheryl Ann King and Tonia M. Willhoite; great-grandchildren Laura, Elizabeth, Aspen, Natalie, Kenner, Coltan, Riley, Hunter, Sayler, Talon, and Wilson; longtime next-door neighbor and friend Hazel Lang; her oldest close friend Ann Leverett; and numerous other friends and cousins.

Memorial service will be at the Mt Calvary Baptist Church, 3967 Old Highway 105 West, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017
