Jerre Bruce Williams of Conroe, TX, passed peacefully from this life to be with his Lord on December 23, 2017. He died at Park Manor in Conroe, surrounded by family, following complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He was 85 years old.

Jerre was born April 28, 1932, In Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Minetta and Luther Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Williams, and is survived by his sister, Nancy Lawson of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by his loving wife Betty, daughter, Allison Moon and husband Jeff of Montgomery, TX, and daughter, Judy Wold and husband Tim of Conroe, TX. Grandchildren include Corey Moon and wife Nicole, Taylor Brass and husband Michael, Meredith Hanley and husband Brian, Emily Moon, and Caroline Wold. He has a great grandson, Brayden Brass.

Jerre was raised in Tulsa and graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Business Management. After college, Jerre served in the United States Navy on the destroyer USS Porterfield. Upon discharge, he met and married Betty (Roberts) and worked in oil and gas industry sales positions in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas. His family settled in Conroe in 1971.

Jerre was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and participated with Betty in their senior adult Sunday school class. He was a member of the Conroe Noon Lion's Club and enjoyed acting with the Crighton Community Playhouse. Jerre had a wide range of interests and hobbies, including cycling, computers, genealogy, taking trips in their travel trailer, and following local sports teams, but his first love was always his wife and family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX, 77303) with burial following at Garden Park Cemetery. You are invited to view our webpage and leave written tributes to the family at cashnerconroe.com
