Jerry DeWayne Colvin, 78, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Shenandoah, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was a resident of Oak Ridge North in Conroe. He was born February 22, 1938 in Henderson, Texas to Hazel and Charlie Colvin.

He leaves behind his love of 60 years, wife, Jo Colvin, son, DeWayne Colvin and wife Shelly, daughters, Pam Cotton and husband Charlie, Regina King and husband John. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Natalie Snider and husband Greg, Joshua Cotton and wife Sarah, Amber Colvin, Ashley Creel and husband Chad, Blake Hoye and Megan King. His legacy also continues with two great grandsons, Nash Colvin and Hayes Cotton. He was also blessed with a host of life long friends and "adopted" family members who were always welcome into his home and life.

Jerry graduated Jeff Davis High School in 1956 and continued his education with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 716, where he became a journeyman electrician and worked until his retirement in 2003. He has remained an active member of the local and would have received his 60 year pin next year.

One of his proudest accomplishments was being a member and Past Master of Lindale Park Lodge #1347 A.F. & A.M., Houston, Texas. He was also a member and served as Tiler of Oak Wood Lodge #1444 A.F. & A.M., Conroe, Texas.

He loved his family and friends, hunting, fishing, going to swap meets and gun shows and was an original member of the Millwinders Club.

Pallbearers are Joshua Cotton, Blake Hoye, Greg Snider, Chad Creel, Mike Bledsoe and Darrell May. Honorary pallbearers are Nash Colvin and Hayes Cotton.

Visitation and services will be held at McNutt Funeral Home, 1703 Porter Rd (FM 1314) in Conroe on Saturday, November 26th. Visitation begins at 11:00, service begins at 1:30. Burial will be at Dry Creek Cemetery, Grangerland, Texas
