Jewel D Adcock, 94, of Tyler, Texas passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Tyler. She was born in Brenham, Texas to the late David and Dora Stovall. Mrs. Adcock was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, O. L. Adcock. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Hargrave, her son, David Adcock, five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Jewel D, as she was known by her friends and family, was active in church her entire life, starting numerous prayer groups, including St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Conroe, Texas and the First Baptist Church in Beeville, Texas. She taught preschool at Little People's School in Conroe, Texas for 19 years before retiring at the age of 74.

She was a mother and grandmother (Mamaw) not just to her own family, but to many others who became her family through the years. She will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Chapel at Pool Cemetery in Richards, Texas.
