Jewel Gregory, born April 26, 1927 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to John and Mary White passed away November 28, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held December 4, 2013 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial with graveside services will be held at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas at 1:00pm. Jewel was devoted to her Lord, Jesus Christ and her Church, family, and friends. She was such a special lady that each one she met became her extended family. Her goal in life was to follow Christ and she did it well. She was a living example of faithful service to the Lord. There are not enough words to really express the legacy she leaves here on Earth. Jewel is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary White; husbands, William Manasco, who passed away in 1956 and Steve Gregory who preceded her in death in 1992; children, William and Sylvia Manasco, and Tammy Fox; grandson, Robert (Robbie) Moore, Jr; great granddaughter, Madileine "Madi" Lakin; brother, J.B. White; sisters, Lucille Davis and Louise Manasco. She is survived by daughters, Barbara and husband Robert of Point Blank Texas and Shirley and husband James of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Brenda Moore, Sherri and Steven Lucas, Misty and Tim Lakin, Jason Tilton and Jason and April Fox; great grandchildren, Tiffany and Robbie Lee, J.W., Joey and Krista, Hoot and Samantha, Bubba and Ashley, Lauren, Andrew and Lanie, Kallie and Taylor, Jadon, Jaslyn and Hayden; great grandchildren, Dylan, Makenzie, Alexis, Maxine, Rozalynn, Trey, Bralee, Maddox and Isaiah. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Girling Hospice, also known as, Lighthouse Hospice and her nurse, Christy Baker for all of the support and exceptionally loving care provided to Jewel and our family.
