A Memorial Service for Jim Raymond Shearer, Jr., longtime resident of Conroe, will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Dr. Raya Machupa. Mr. Shearer was born on December 8, 1934 in El Paso, Texas and passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Conroe, Texas. He was 77 years old. Jim was a Conroe Businessman for over 25 years, as owner of the Conroe Floor Company. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict Era, and was active member of the GWRRA-Chapter D for many years. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Raymond and Lynden Maddox (Cox) Shearer and his sister, Betty Pickard. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cindy Shearer of Conroe and his brothers-in-law, Burl Pickard and Mike Williams and his wife, Paulette of Houston. Jim is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
