Joe Durgan Kinnamon, 80, of Conroe, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 8, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. Joe was born on June 17, 1934 to John and Annie Kinnamon. He graduated from Dale High School in 1952. Joe served in the U.S. Army and returned to Oklahoma and married the love of his life, Linda on September 27, 1958.

Joe spent his entire career in the oil and gas service and supply business. He started as a warehouse man for the Guiberson Division of Dresser Industries Oklahoma City. During his time in Oklahoma, he managed the Mid-Continent Region. In 1980, he assumed the position of Vice President of Marketing in Houston, Texas. Joe retired from Guiberson in 1995. During his tenure there, Joe was mostly known for his kindness, sense of humor, and all the lifelong friendships he made along the way. His greatest joy however, was his family. He never missed an activity that anyone was involved in.

After retirement, Joe and Linda enjoyed many travels in their RV. Their favorite place was Colorado in the summer spent with friends and family. His most favorite pastimes were playing golf and gin rummy with his buddies at River Plantation.

Joe's most treasured time was spent with his grandchildren. He was always there for them, teaching, guiding, and influencing their lives.

Joe was a member of the Conroe Church of Christ and he loved the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Annie Kinnamon, brothers; Robert and James, sisters; Anna Mae Enochs, Wilma Lackey, and Rose Honeycutt.

Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda, sons; Scott Kinnamon of Oklahoma City and Jon Kinnamon of Conroe, daughter; Tiffany Primo and husband Joe Primo of Kingwood, Texas, grandchildren; Joshua Primo, Austin Primo, Jacob Primo, Samuel Kinnamon and McKinna Primo, brothers; John Lee Kinnamon and wife Gladys, Donald Kinnamon and wife Lavonna, and Tom Kinnamon and wife Betty, sister; Betty and husband Monty Barrett.

He will be greatly missed and remembered by a tremendous group of friends as well.

Pallbearers are Joshua Primo, Austin Primo, Jacob Primo, Samuel Kinnamon, Jeff Nicklas, and Jimmy Yochim.

Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, Texas on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Funeral Service will be held at the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 12:30pm with interment following at Garden Park Cemetery.
