John Allen Bowden passed away September 28, 2014 in Spring, TX surrounded by his family. He was born December 29, 1964 in Houston, TX to John Martin and Barbara Francis Bowden. John was a devoted member of Christ Church United Methodist, The Woodlands, TX. He is a former member of the American Outboard Federation, National Rifle Association, officer of Houston Boating Trades Association and the proud owner and operator of Bowden Marine. John is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Francis Phipps, nephew, Eddie Byron and father in law, Rolando DiRienzo. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Elisa Bowden, Sons, John Michael Bowden and Christopher Ray Bowden, father, John Martin Bowden and brother, William Abney Bowden, mother in law, Vincenza DiRienzo, nieces, Krystina Agresta and husband Anthony and Nicole Cruikshank, nephews, Stephen Cruikshank and wife Ellie, Mark Bowden and Matthew Bowden. A host of friends also survive. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Cashner Funeral Home ( 801 Teas Rd Conroe, Texas 77301) from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Christ Church United Methodist (6363 Research Forest Drive The Woodlands, TX 77381) at 10:00am with Dr. Daniel T. Hannon officiating. Burial will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Calvert, TX at 3:00pm Thursday. Pallbearers will be William Bowden, John Michael Bowden, Matthew Bowden, Mike Manning, Will Baker, Tony Rios, Ed Byron and Stephen Cruikshank. Donations can be made at GoFundme.com/Bowdenfund.com.
