John Kowaleski of Spring, Texas, passed peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends on December 4 th of 2013. John was an amazing father and avid fisherman who was born in Syracuse, New York on October 10 th of 1956. He was pre-deceased by his parents Larry and Virginia Kowaleski and his oldest brother David Kowaleski. His survivors include his daughter, Julie Kowaleski-Turnage, and husband Braxton of QLD, Australia; son Christopher Kowaleski of San Marcos, Texas: brother Paul Kowaleski of Spring, Texas and sisters Gail Rottman and Dianne Kowaleski of Newburgh, Indiana. He passed at the age of 57 following a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. John will be forever in our hearts as his positive attitude and playful spirit will always be remembered. He was a strong and kind hearted man. If he wasn't working the bar saw, or fishing, you can bet he was playing Words With Friends! His final wish was to have his family and friends get together in a celebration of life. This celebration got stronger as he was making his move to a better place. A celebration of John's life will be held on Thursday, December 12 th, 2013. We ask that everyone join in by sharing memories they had with John. The Celebration of His Life will begin at 4 pm at Greek Tony's. This is located at 438 Sawdust Rd, Spring. This celebration is open to the public. For more information, call 281-799-4787. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that we pass on John's love in a way that would make him smile.
