John Calvin Satterfield, 77, of Leander, TX passed away November 24 after a four year struggle with Alzheimers. Born August 30, 1940 in Loudon, Tenn., he was the youngest son of Louis O. and Katherine Nail Satterfield. John served in the U.S. Navy as a meteorologist and attended Texas Tech University. He retired in 2003 from the Data Processing department at Montgomery County Tax office in Conroe. With a life-long love of carpentry, John and wife Judy designed and built a retirement home north of Austin in Leander. He was well-loved by his family - wife Judy Drennan Satterfield of Leander, daughter Tracy Lowery and husband Steven of Leander, daughter Wendy Rohan and husband John of LaGrange; grandchildren Zoe Lowery of Abilene, Malik Gning of Austin and Amelia and Eleanor Rohan of LaGrange. Also survived by brother Louis Satterfield of China Springs and niece Clare Paul of China Springs, brother-in-law Peck Drennan and wife Rebecca of Columbia, SC and nephews Michael Drennan of Columbia and Kevin Drennan of Santa Fe, NM.
