John Douglas Reynolds, Sr. of The Woodlands, TX, born August 12, 1935 in Rock Hill, SC, passed away peacefully at The Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe, TX on February 25, 2012.

Doug attended Rock Hill High School and York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC. He served in the Army National Guard from 1953 to 1964. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1996. Doug was an avid gardener, enjoyed restoring old cars, boating and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil C. & Blanche Griffin Reynolds, son Timothy Wayne Reynolds and Brother Gerald LeGrande Reynolds. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean Whisonant Reynolds, two sons, Barry E. Reynolds and partner, Bob Ham of The Woodlands, TX, John Douglas Reynolds, Jr. and wife Ann of Rock Hill, SC, 2 daughters, Terri Reynolds Looney and husband Don of Baytown, TX and Chris Reynolds of Spring, TX. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Angie Devinney and partner Ana Matei, Tim Devinney and wife Montse, SSGT Michael Reynolds and wife Bridgette, Jennifer Reynolds Carlisle and husband Jeb Carlisle, Rachael Devinney, Andrew Reynolds and fiancé Annie Hall, Patrick Reynolds, Angel Komazec and husband Vedran, Lesley Looney and partner Natele Hagee, and CPL Don Looney, Jr., great grand children, Tyler Devinney, Ruby Reynolds and Lily Looney. Also survived by his brothers and sisters, Virgil Reynolds, Maxine Furr, Jimmy Reynolds, Gloria Williams and Joanne Smith, all residing in South Carolina.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted in The Chapel of West Conroe Baptist Church, located at 1855 Longmire Road, Conroe, TX, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm, Interment to follow at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
