John Earl Brewer, Jr., 88, died of medical complications Friday, August 4th at Inwood Crossing in Tomball Texas. He was born November 11, 1928 in Satin Texas to John Earl Brewer Sr., and Gertrude Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Brewer, and his children Diane Brewer, John Earl Brewer III, Hogan Brewer, and his Brother William Brewer. He is survived by his son Dorsey Brewer and his grandchildren Jessica and Brandon Deiss, Chancey and Samantha Brewer, Brent Brewer, Jake Brewer, Ashley Brewer, and Garett Brewer, and his great grandchildren Kody Deiss, Bella Deiss, Tyler Deiss, Carlee Brewer, Ryley Brewer, Addi Brewer, and Liam Brewer, and his sister Auwice Coleman. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Although he never saw any battle he served 2 tours in hopes of getting out on the front lines, even going so far as enlisting while still under age. He was a truck driver for 25 years, and drove as a team for 8 of those years with his son, Dorsey. They drove as far as Alaska, and he loved telling stories of being out over the road. He eventually retired from a career as a service manager at NTW in Houston, TX. His many hobbies included being a tennis instructor after retirement, photography, bicycling, and painting. He was a very talented artist completing many works of art in his lifetime. They are now hanging, proudly framed, in his son and grandchildren's homes. John will be cremated and family will be holding a memorial BBQ at his home in Panorama Village at a later date. In lieu of flowers they ask that please donate to the ,, as John suffered from this disease. The family would also like to thank Theresa Luke, his at home nurse, for all of her help and support during the last 6 months of his life.
