John "Stan" Cillessen, 73 of Panorama Village, Texas passed away on April 23, 2015. He was born in San Diego, California of Doris and T.C. Cillessen. Stan grew up in Albuquerque, NM along with his three brothers. Upon graduation from Valley High in 1960, he became a very proud member of United States Marine Corps and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Stan married the love of his life Marcedith in 1963. Stan and Marci raised 4 children, John Steven, David Eugene, Robert Daniel, and Tuyet Lahn. Stan and Marci have a total of 7 grandchildren. They moved to Texas in 1999 and have become very proud Texans.

Stan is an active member in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Eastex Marine Corps League. Stan received The Chapel Four Chaplains Legion of Honor Award for his selfless volunteer service to all.

Visitation will be held Monday the 27th of April, 2015 at 5:00pm, followed by a rosary at 7:00pm at Cashner funeral home and Cemetery. Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Tuesday the 28th of April, 2015 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the New Danville organization (newdanville.org).
