Memorial service for Joseph N. Nace, 88, of Conroe will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with the Rev. Tim Byrd officiating.

Mr. Nace was born on February 17th 1929 in Paducah, Kentucky and passed away on February 3, 2017 in Conroe, Texas. Mr. Nace graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1951, served in the Armed Forces during the Korean war, and worked for Gulf Oil Corporation for 30 years. His joys in life included golf, Kentucky basketball and reading.

Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Peggy J. Nace, parents, William Murrel Nace and Lucille Green Nace; brother Dr. William Nace, and Nephew, Lance Nace. He is survived by daughters, Janis R. Bright and husband Kevit of Houston, Jill R. Johnson and husband Wayne of Loganville, Georgia and Jerri D. Butler of Conroe; brothers Gene Nace of Stuart, Florida, Kenneth Nace of Melbourne, Florida, Larry Nace and wife Peggy of Jackson, Tennessee; sister in law Roanne Nace of Jackson, Tennessee; grandchildren Ron Bright, Jordan Singleton and husband Alex, Justin Johnson and wife Mandie, Amy Tippins and husband Jeffrey, Missie Johnson, J.R. Butler and Kara Butler; 11 great-grandchildren and the third musketeer Kim Sedlacek. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to University of Kentucky Alumni Association, 400 Rose Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40506 or in honor of his granddaughter Missie Johnson, Just People, PO Box 930037, Norcross, GA 30093. Papa- Always in our heart, forever our hero.
