Joseph William Krippel Jr., 69, born on October 2, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2013 after a courageous fight with cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph William Sr. and Elizabeth Burkhardt of Peoris, Illinois. Joe is survived by his wife, Judith Underwood Krippel of Montgomery, Tx. and former wife, Judith Thompson Krippel of Kingwood, Tx, mother of his three children, Joseph William III (Amanda) of Brownsville, Tx; John (Lisa) of Kingwood, Tx.; Beth Krippel, of Altocita, Tx. Grandchildren include Alec, Ava, and stepgrandaughter, Andrea Sanchez, Meagan, Natalie, and Maleigh Krippel. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Elizabeth (John) Minor, Marietta Evans, and Kathleen Krippel, all from Peoria, Illinois.

Joe graduated from Spalding Institute and attended St. Ambrose University on a basketball scholarship where he received a B.A. degree followed by an MBA from the University of Kentucky. After school, he served in the army stationed in Korea. He was a Human Resources executive for over thirty years.

Joe volunteered for many years with the St. Vincent De Paul Society, was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, Men of Bentwater, and spent many days out on the golf course.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26th, 11 AM at St. James Episcopal Church in Conroe. The family offers a special thanks to M.D. Anderson, St. Lukes Hospital, and Odyssey Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to Oyssey Hospice in his memory.
