Karen Ann Griffin, age 55, passed away peacefully early in the morning of April 22, 2012 in Spring, TX. She was at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Karen was born February 8, 1957 and grew up in Plainview, New York. Her father Robert Zmoos was an Insurance Executive. Her mother Barbara Zmoos was a Homemaker. Karen was a nurse, devoting herself to healing others. She earned a BS in Nursing from Wagner College on Staten Island, New York, and was a Registered Nurse and Certified Wound Care Nurse. She worked last at Christus Home Health in Houston, TX, as a visiting nurse. She also assisted in founding Griffin & Cain, Attorneys at Law. She enjoyed reading, exploring and caring for her family.

Her husband was the First Assistant District Attorney in Ector County, TX, and then moved to the Montgomery County District Attorney's office in 1994, and currently works at Griffin & Cain in Conroe, TX. Her son is a third year law student at the University of Houston Law Center, and will join Griffin & Cain upon graduation.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara Zmoos, her husband, Michael T. Griffin, her son, Robert Selah Griffin, and her daughter-in-law Caroline Griffin.

Friends and family are invited to the Memorial Service on Thursday, April 26, 10:00am at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, 20850 Eva St. Montgomery, TX 77356. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Texas Lions Camp.
