Karen Ann Brown born on January 20, 1940 went home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2017 at the age of 77 in the hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Karen was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She accepted Jesus as her savior later in life and was a devoted Christian who enjoyed her time in Scripture, at Mims Baptist Church and at Bible Study Fellowship. Karen was a nurturer by nature and found great joy in caring for those around her; known as Meme to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who she loved dearly. As a wife and mother her love could be summed up as sacrificial and unconditional. For those she left behind she will be deeply missed.

Karen was preceded in death by Howard H. Maughn (father), Maude Lurline Maughn (mother), Deborah L. Caradine (daughter), Dale A. Caradine (son), Lucille Befeld (aunt) and Jerry A. Janes (nephew). She was survived by Wayne Brown (husband), Clinton Dixon (son), Candace Dixon (daughter in law), Loretta Harper (sister), Shane Caradine (grandson), Angie Caradine (granddaughter in law), Lyla Dixon (granddaughter), Teagan Decker (granddaughter), Athena Caradine (great granddaughter), Alexis Caradine (great granddaughter), Allison Caradine (great granddaughter), April Okerholm (niece) and Ryan Harper (nephew).

Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Funeral Service for Karen Ann Brown will be held at the Cashner Colonial Chapel on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 10:00am with interment following at Pool Cemetery (Union Grove Cemetery) in Richards, Texas.
