On March 24, 1948 A beautiful baby girl was born to Marcella and Virginia Shoemaker they named her Kathleen Shoemaker. Kathleen was born in Montgomery, Tx. where she grew up and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Kathleen attended public schools in Montgomery and graduated from Lincoln High School. Kathleen worked as a nurses aide for several years and served her community. Kathleen was a member of Mt. Sinai M.B.C. where she served faithfully as President of the Usher Board until her health failed. On August 24, 2014 Kathleen entered into eternal rest. She is survived by 3 sons; Ernest Verdell, Edwin Verent and Earl Vermont; 1 sister Arzalia Portley (Maron); 2 brothers, Charles Shoemaker (Gwendolyn), Eugene Shoemaker; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grands, 2 aunts Stella McGinnis, Doreatha Sadler; 1 uncle Joe Taylor; 3 great aunts Mary Williams, Lula Womack, Ethel Mae Jefferson. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Marcella and Virginia Shoemaker, 1 son Ernest Venell Shoemaker and 1 brother Henry Shoemaker. Visitation will be held from 10-11a.m. The Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Both services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Mt. Sinai M.B.C. 611 Community Road Montgomery, Tx. 77356. Interment: Yell Cemetery.
