Kathryn von Rosenberg Reeder passed away peacefully at her home on January 3, 2012 after a courageous battle against pulmonary fibrosis. Kathryn was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 23, 1959 to Martin and Mary von Rosenberg. Her family moved to Conroe, Texas when she was 5 years old. She attended school in Conroe, Texas, graduating from Conroe High School in 1977. She then attended Sam Houston State University where she received her Master's degree in Education.

Kathryn taught special education at several schools in the Conroe ISD, most recently at Ford Elementary. She is loved and respected for her dedication and commitment to her students.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 30 years, Mark, son Patrick Martin Reeder, daughter Kathryn Elizabeth Reeder and numerous family and friends. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Martin, her mother, Mary, and her brother Rick.

Kathryn showed tremendous strength and courage in her fight against lung disease and was an inspiration to all.

The family wishes to thank all of the medical staff at Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands and Methodist Hospital who provided such wonderful compassionate care to Kathryn during these last few months.

In celebration of Kathryn's life, a memorial service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Conroe ISD Education Foundation, P. O. Box 1494, Conroe, Texas 77305. Please make donations in memory of Kathryn von Rosenberg Reeder. These donations will provide scholarships to graduating CISD seniors who wish to pursue a degree in education. We feel this would honor Kathryn's commitment to teaching and her dedication to helping children succeed.
