Kay Reynolds of Willis, Texas passed away peacefully on November 1, 2015 in Willis, Texas. Kay was born on December 15, 1941 in Electra, TX to Horace and Fannie Murphy. James McAlister and Kay McAlister Reynolds were the proud parents of Perry and Kerri born on December 15, 1963. Kay tried her hand in a few other careers before she found her lifelong calling of being a teacher. She taught in several districts before she settled in her beloved Huntsville Independent School District, where she taught history at Mance Park Middle School for over 25 years. Kay married the love of her life and best friend, Michael Reynolds on September 26, 1987. Together they enjoyed traveling and loving their family, especially their grandkids and great grandkids. Kay is preceded in death by her parents Horace and Fannie Murphy, as well as her son James Perry McAlister. She is survived by her husband, Michael Reynolds of Willis, TX, daughter Kerri McElligott of Willis, TX, Mark McElligott of Conroe, TX, daughter-in-law Robin McAlister of Waco, TX, grandchildren Kelly and Brian Bonner of Spring, TX, Kimberly and Vidal Manzo of Conroe, TX, Matthew McElligott of Willis, TX, Hannah McAlister, Jedediah and Paula McAlister, Jerusha McAlister, and Judah McAlister all of Waco, TX, Guy Barker of Conroe, TX, and great grandchildren Guy Aaron Barker of Conroe, TX, Aubrey Bonner of Spring, TX, Taya Manzo of Conroe, TX, and Rene McAlister of Waco, TX. She also leaves behind lifelong teaching friends Helen Bass, Billie Clendenon, Carol Nichols and Dorthea Tarver. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 4 at 10:00 AM, at First Assembly of God in Conroe, TX with Pastor Lloyd Maddoux officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay's honor to the Lifestyle Christian School in Conroe, TX. Condolences may be left at www.shmfh.com .
