Kenneth Aaron Turner Sr.

The Guest Book is expired.

Kenneth Aaron Turner Sr., born October 5, 1928, in Daisy, Arkansas, went to his forever home at the age of 89 on September 3, 2018. He was married to Sylvia Mae Covington on June 8, 1947, and they had four children and celebrated 64 years of marriage before she passed in August of 2011. In September of 2012, he married Frances Grier and they had a joy-filled marriage of six years.

His family remembers him as a happy dad with a loving and kind spirit who embraced all persons, no matter their social status or race. He simply loved people and never met a stranger. And even if he had only a few minutes, he would gently offer the opportunity to sit down to a Bible study. He had the heart of an evangelist (bringer of good news) and offered encouragement and hope for a better future. His trade was a union metal lather, but his heart belonged to Jesus and his family. With passion and deep love for others, he served many Church of Christ congregations, both part time and full time.

He is survived by his loving wife Frances Grier Turner, his four children and their spouses: David and Cathy Messecar, Kenny and Shirley Turner of Montgomery, Texas, and Sherry and Wyatt Rushing II of Dayton, Texas, and Karlton and Julie Turner of Searcy, Arkansas. His grandchildren survive him: Russell Messecar (Pam), Sheryle Bazan (Hito), Christy Osborn (Kelly), Wyatt Rushing III, Summer Neal (Joe), Tiffany (Joey) Hatton, Joshua Turner (Jenny), Jeremy Turner (Laurie), Amy Hughes (Morgan), Libbie Swearingen (Evan), Ellie Turner, and Emmie Turner. Also surviving are Frances Turner's four children and spouses. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and his brother Joe Turner (Alice) of Kirby, Arkansas.
