Kenneth Lee Bowyer passed away on January 6, 2015 after suffering for many years from the effects of Agent Orange.

He is survived by his significant other of 23 years Charlene Myers; sons, Bobby (Amy) Bowyer of Prosper, Texas, Jimmy (Lisa) Bowyer of Montgomery Texas; grandchildren, Carson, Preston, Little Jimmy, Peyton and Morgan; sisters, Joyce Bowyer of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Linda Spiker of Tucson, Arizona; and his best bud "Scooby" whom he never left home without. He is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Bowyer, father, Lee Bowyer, and mother, Maxine Bowyer.

Ken served 3 tours in Vietnam where he earned 7 Purple Hearts and a Presidential Unit Citation. He retired from the U.S. Army in January, 1984 as a Sergeant Major. He was an avid race fan, animal lover and fisherman. He loved sitting on the back deck watching the wild life.

We are comforted that you are no longer in pain and your passing is only temporary. We will see you someday and be together forever.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10 A.M. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, in Montgomery, Texas.
