Larry Dale Brown was born on September 8, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri to Albert Glen Brown and Vera Miller Brown. He passed away on December 1, 2017 after a brief illness. When he was young, his family moved to Eugene, Oregon. He graduated from South Eugene High School and attended technical school where he studied electronics. After finishing school, he was employed by Boeing in Seattle, Washington. This job eventually led him to Houston where he worked at NASA. Larry later moved to Conroe where he met his future wife, Dotty Tolliver. They were married on July 20, 1974. It was soon after that he began working for ARCO which later became BP. He retired from BP after 25 years. For the last 7 years, he had worked for CenterPoint Energy. Larry was a devout Christian. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He had also served as a counselor in the Bill Glass Prison Ministry, and was also a

former member of Gideon ' s International.

Larry became an amateur radio (ham radio) operator in his teens and continued this hobby for the rest of his life. He also spent many hour enjoying his other hobby, woodturning.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, his son, Andy and wife Kim, his daughter Courtney, grandchildren Tripp and Kaylee Brown, and " special to him " grandchildren, Colton, Casey, and Cassidy Krueger and Campbell Wright. He is also survived by his sister and husband, Patsy and Robert Babcock, brother-in-law Steve Tolliver, plus several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held, Thursday, December 7th, between 5 and 7 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, December 8th at 12:30 p.m at Cashner ' s under the direction of Rev. Fred Alford with burial to follow at Conroe Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Webb, Ken Burkhalter, and Skip McClellan. WB5CXC -- No Traffic, No Comment.
