Larry Wood, 70, of Spring, Texas, got the ultimate "No Evidence of Disease" as he has been made completely well and whole by his Heavenly Father, on March 23, 2014. Born in Willow Springs, Missouri, Larry and his wife Karen spent the last 32 years in Houston and Spring, Texas.

Larry loved teaching and acting, fishing, visiting lighthouses throughout the country, rooting on his beloved Houston Astros and most of all serving and praising his Savior at his home church. He was full of joy, and loved fully, and meant so much to so many.

He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his children, Lauren Wood, Meredith Rutherford and her husband Chris, and Benjamin Wood and his wife Jessica, and their two children, his grandchildren, Mikaela and McKinley. He was blessed to be surrounded by extended family, friends, students, and co-workers who held a special place in his heart.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Graceview Baptist Church, 25510 Tomball Parkway, Tomball, TX, 77375. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of the following charities in his name: , , or the ASPCA.
