Larry Curtiss Garrett of Willis, Texas passed away on April 23, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on October 15, 1938 in Lynwood, California.

He graduated from Lynwood High School and served as a jet engine mechanic in the U.S. Air Force.

As a certified industrial electrician, Larry traveled around the country building ball mills for gold and silver mines. He retired in 2002.

Along with being an avid golfer, he enjoyed restoring classic cars. Larry was a member of Texas National Golf Course, Montgomery Country Street Rods and the National Street Rod Association.

Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara of Willis, Texas; son Richard N. Garrett of Phoenix, Arizona; and cousin Odell Garrett of Ringgold, Georgia.

In lieu of a memorial service, there will be a golf tournament held in his memory at a future date.
