Larry L. Shiver, 65, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away November 24, 2017.

He was born in Opp, Alabama on July 4, 1952.

Larry graduated from Opp High School and received a Bachelor's of Criminal Justice from the University of Houston- Downtown. Larry had a career in law enforcement for 13 years with the Houston Police Department and over 22 years with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. He was a lifetime member of the 100 Club Houston and National Rifle Association and had a passion for police work, back packing, traveling, reading, family time, especially with his granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife, Paula G. Shiver, son, Scotty L. Shiver, daughter-in-law, Sarah Shiver, granddaughter, Lauren Shiver, sisters, Sandra Riley, Gwen Lazenby, and brother, Ken Shiver.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, November 29, 2017 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the 100 Club Houston.
