Heaven's gates opened peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2012 as God wrapped his arms around Laura Ellen Brenner Arnold and took her home. Laura was born February 3, 1956, in Victoria ,TX to Edward "Ed" Brenner Sr. of Houston, TX and Martha Ellen Haneline of Hugo, OK. Laura and the Brenner's moved to Conroe in 1968, she was a member of Conroe High School class of 1975. Over the past 44 years Laura built her home and life in the Conroe and Willis area. Through most of those years she spent her time loving and honoring her parents Ed & Martha, her brothers Eddie & Mike and her baby sister Donna.

Laura met and married Calvin Helton and gave birth to two beautiful girls, Holly & Krista. Later in life she met the love of her life, John Arnold. They married on June 17, 1989 and welcomed another addition to their family, their son Russell. With their union, Laura also welcomed three more sons to her growing family, James, Joe & Richard. Over the past 23 years Laura and John welcomed 16 grandchildren to their family tree. Laura was such an amazing gift from God to our family. She was what you would call our ROCK, the family matriarch. She was always there for anyone that walked through her front door. Laura had her own bed of clay stones labeled with our names as individuals and always knew when to shape or smooth those stones to shape the person we've become today. Laura had the uncanny ability to know exactly what we did or didn't need and offered her opinions and views on any given situation that we might present to her with a huge heart and open arms. She left her mark on us and so many others, she touched our hearts in ways we don't even know and we will cherish her memory for the rest of our lives. Her final mark was sent to us on the morning she passed away, a cloud in the shape of our own special elephant. God you gave us our special angel Laura and you took her when you knew it was time for her to start helping and healing us in a spiritual way, we thank you for the blessing of placing Laura in our lives. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, momma, mawmaw, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to so many very blessed people.
