Laymon Gerald Fritz passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd in Conroe, Texas at age 77. Laymon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Bessie Fritz, son Kenny Fritz and Pam Nichols, son Steve Fritz and wife Carol, daughter Maggi Denn and husband Randy. He is also, survived by his 5 grandchildren; Daundi Boren, Nicole Edwards, Brett Fritz, Sarah Cannan, Mark Denn and 5 great grandchildren; Delaney Boren, Cutler Boren, Stetson Boren, Stephanie Fritz and James Edwards. Laymon was preceded in death by his parents Dawson and Clara Bell Fritz, grandson Justin Jacob Fritz and granddaughter Kayla Ann Denn.

Laymond was an electrician by trade and served his country in the U. S. Army. He loved playing his guitar. Laymon was a singer and songwriter, mostly country western tunes. One of his hobbies was visiting flea markets, called himself "a flea market enthusiast".

A visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery on Friday, December 5th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas.
