Lenard Arthur "Len" Snider, 73, passed away on October 21, 2014, in Conroe, Texas. He graduated from Tide Haven High School in 1959. In his younger years, he was best known as the lead singer of Len Snider and the Jokers. He was a business owner for most of his life and served on the City Council of Magnolia for several terms. Len worked for The Texas Department of Corrections as a guard until his retirement in 2009. Len had many hobbies, such as woodworking. He also loved to paint and build things for his loved ones. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Len was full of laughter and his smile was contagious.

Len is survived by his siblings, Howard (Della) Snider, Glenice (Bill) Cude and Ruthy (Don) McWethey; his children, Troy (Lynette) Snider, Tab (Dana) Snider and Shelley Snider; grandchildren Brandon (Kindra) Schiffner, Belton Snider, Troy Snider Jr., Cassidy (Austin) Coleman, Chelsea, Conner and Zane Snider; great-grandchildren Kyndall Schiffner, Kash Schiffner, and Mandy Snider.... and another great-grandson, Ryden Snider, that is on his way. Len is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Belton & Mattie Snider and his sister Dorothy Eulene.

Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 6-8pm and the funeral will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 5:00 pm at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home at 10129 West FM 1097 in Willis, Texas. Following the funeral, the family will be hosting a gathering at New Bethlehem Church at 14630 Millmac Rd. in Conroe. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the National Republican Party as Len was a huge supporter. Written condolences may be left on our website at www.shmfh.com.
