Leona Clanton Sisk, also known to family and friends as "Onie," passed away after a long illness on January 25, in Conroe at the age of 88 years. She recently celebrated her birthday January 7th surrounded by family and friends.

A native of the Conroe/Willis area, Leona started college part time at Lee College while raising a family in Anahuac and later full time when the family moved back to Conroe. She was an avid student and received both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Sam Houston State University. She worked in the Medical Center in Houston several years. She loved photography, dabbled in real estate, and treasured reading and traveling overseas.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Leona Clanton and her husband George. She is survived by three sons, Russell Longmire (Laura), Rob Longmire (Nancy) and Wayne Longmire (Carol). She is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Calfee and Jody Piggott (Bruce). Leona also had five grandchildren, Ryan Longmire (Lauren), Grant Longmire (fiance, Ashley Jackson), Kira Longmire, Emerson Longmire and Oleg Longmire. She had three great grandchildren, Jessica, Rhys and Aubrey Longmire. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
