Leona Frank entered into eternity with her Lord and Savior on December 20, 2015. She was 95 years young.

Leona was born in Wallis, Texas on August 17, 1920 to Edward and Lucy Blazek. She graduated from Wallis High School in 1935 and began her career in banking as a clerk at Bellville State Bank. She then became an assistant cashier and was later made an officer of the bank because all of the men had gone to war. She worked at Bellville State Bank until 1943 when she married Morris "Smoky" Frank. Leona and Smoky moved to Houston in 1946 where she worked at First City Bank for 35 years. Leona became a Commercial Loan Officer and eventually became Senior Vice President. She was the second woman in Houston to receive a title in the banking industry and the only woman at First City with a title at that time.

In 1990, Leona and Smoky moved to Bentwater. In addition to her amazing career, she spent an immeasurable amount of hours volunteering. She was active in the Lake Conroe Republican Women and a founding member of the North Shore Republican Women. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army, Safe Harbor of Conroe, The Friendship Center, the Food Bank of Conroe, and the Cancer Society. Among other honors, she was named Rotary Club Volunteer of the Year and received a Tribute to Women at the Texas Republican State Convention.

Leona is preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years. She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Clausing, four grandsons, Scott Seabolt and his wife, Paige, Brent Seabolt and his wife, Diane, Rick Seabolt and his wife, Deanna, and Chris Clausing and his wife, Lucinda. She also has six great-grandchildren, Kyle, Katie, Daniel, Sol, Samuel, and Christopher. She was blessed with a long, happy and fulfilled life, and she will be missed by her family and many friends. She is our hero!
