Leonard Burnam Tolliver, age 78, was born on December 29, 1932 in Waveland, Indiana. He died on September 16, 2011 in Conroe, Texas.

Leonard served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1951 to 1959. He was a Journeyman Machinist and also drove an 18 wheeler for many years. He retired as a machinist in 2006. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church serving as head usher and a trustee. He could make anything and fix anything that needed to be fixed. He loved John Wayne movies and reading Louis Lamour books. He also enjoyed bowling and was on a league for many years,

He is survived by his wife, Marie Tolliver of Conroe, TX; his daughters Terri Lawson and her husband Stan of Crawfordsville, IN, Chris Irvin and her husband John of Crawfordsville, IN and Jessi Ragsdale and her husband Tony of Pasadena, TX; stepson David Mitchell and his wife Katie of The Woodlands, TX; sisters Della Mae Hockett of Waveland, IN and Mary Lee Huff of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law Joe Vasek and his wife Gail of Round Rock, TX; and his mother-in-law Vera Vasek of Conroe, TX. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11:30AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1100 West Semands Avenue, Conroe, TX. Rev. Cindy Hinson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX.
