Leonard Helmer Green, 98, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 29, 2017. Len was a father and husband extraordinaire, terrific dancer, champion bridge player, and a talented accountant who worked for Shell Oil for 35 years. He was also a licensed realtor associated with Henry S. Miller Real Estate. Len was a WW II Air Force veteran, having flown more than 24 missions over Europe and northern Africa. Len met his wife Maria-Luisa Lavorini Green while stationed in Italy. They raised 4 children and were happily married for 50 years until her death in 1996. In 1998, he was fortunate to find love again, and married Lorraine Rod Green and they shared 19 happy years of travel, dancing, bridge playing, and loving companionship.

Len is survived by his wife, Lorraine and by his four children, Janice Nowlin and her husband Van of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elaine Rhein and her husband Tom of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Len Green and his wife Nancy of Austin, TX, and Marisa Burns and her husband Mark of the The Woodlands, TX. Grandchildren: Ryan and Ailee Nowlin, Romney and Corbin McGuire, Rainey and Meagan Massad, Lenny Green, Hallie Green, Jennifer and Whitt Behr, and Taylor Burns. Great-grandchildren: Luke Nowlin, Landry Nowlin, Turner, Avin, and Sutton McGuire, Tallulah Massad and Maverick Massad. He is also survived by Lorraine's children, Madelyn Dusek, Charles Rod, Ronald Rod, Michelle Rod (husband Randy Rod-deceased) and their children and grandchildren.

A celebration of Len's life will be held on Saturday, April 1 at Forest Park, The Woodlands Funeral Home, at 5pm with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in honor of Leonard H. Green to Wounded Warrior Project.
