Leonard Robert Wiechman left this world to be with his Lord March 28, 2013, at the age of 91. He was born the second son of William John Christian Wiechman and Jessie Zella Wilbur Wiechman on February 1, 1922.

Len was an extremely accomplished man and known for the many things he did to help others. He was raised on a ranch between Ashland and Broadus, Montana. He attended high school in Miles City where he received his limited commercial flying license. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and flew with bomber crews as a trainer while also serving as Aircraft Engineering Officer during WWII. After serving in the war, he came back to the States to complete his college degrees in engineering. He was responsible for constructing the power lines into the Ashland and Broadus area. After completion of the powerline he became the superintendent for Tongue River Electric in Ashland, Montana, working there until 1954. Len then spent a couple of years working for Socony Mobil Oil Company in Wyoming. In 1956 he went to work for Boeing at various locations across the United States and Canada. His work with Boeing included work in the physics research labs and as an electrical engineer on the Apollo Space Project. In April 1969 he retired and returned to the home ranch to help his family. He later sold the ranch and in September 1988 moved to Billings where he met Janet Hall. They married in 2005 and shared a love of the Lord Jesus Christ and the studying of His Word. Len's friends and family agree that he is leaving a significant Christian legacy for his work in Blue Creek Baptist Church and this area. Len and Janet moved to Huntsville, Texas in 2011 to be closer to Jan's family.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Winifred Wiechman, and his brother Willard Wiechman. Survivors include wife Janet of Huntsville, TX, sister Gladys Linville of Broadus, MT; niece Linda and husband Dennis Robinson of Lewistown, MT; their children Chad and Lisa Robinson, Michele and Rob McCue, and Nicole and Scott Wichman and numerous grandchildren; and niece Gayle Colman of Spokane, WA and her son Chris. He is also survived by Janet's children Tawanda and Jerry Johnson and Kathy and Terry Clair all of TX, and grandchildren Myles and Matt Standefer and Kayte Clair Chapman of LA.
