Linda Purcell, 68, our angel on earth who lived, laughed and loved.

Linda Kaye Purcell, aged 68, died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at her home in Azle, surrounded by her family after her struggle with cancer.

Memorial service: and celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ash Creek Baptist Church, 300 Stewart St., Azle, 76020.

Linda was born Jan. 19, 1947, in Alva, Okla., the daughter of Lloyd and Merle Cook.

Linda loved life. She was a kind and generous spirit who never met a stranger and had a very strong faith. She grew up taking care of her little brother Larry before marrying her husband, Bill. They were the light of each other's lives and spent 43 amazing years together before she lost him in 2011 to cancer. During their marriage, they had a daughter, Lisa, who was their world. The three of them enjoyed traveling the world together and always finding new friends along the way. Linda was passionate about God, her family, her animals, her plants, helping people and her antiques.

Her legacy of kindness, positivity and generosity will be left with all of her family, friends and anyone who had the chance to meet her just once.

Survivors: Linda is survived by her only daughter, Lisa, and son-in-law, Joe, of Keller; her brother, Larry; and her nieces, Tessa and Heather of Seguin; and her mother, Merle of Azle.
