Lloyd C. Carnathan, 92, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Odyssey House surrounded by family and friends. He was born on June 4, 1920 in Spear, Oklahoma to Alfred and Violet Holland Carnathan. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Carnathan and son Bud Carnathan. He is survived by his daughters Diana Arfele of Conroe, Texas, Debra Carnathan of Houston, Texas, Dottie Workman of Bacliff, Texas; son Jim Palmer of Joshua, Texas; grandchildren Robert Arfele, Tim Arfele, Craig Workman, George Palmer, Dawn Craft, Wendy Palmer and Terri Bearden and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth Conaster on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery. The family would like to express our gratitude to Odyssey House for the loving care they gave him in his final days.
