Lori Marie Pais of The Woodlands, Texas, 40, passed away Wednesday evening May 13, 2015 at The Woodlands Memorial Hospital. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday May 23, 2015 at Sts Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch, The Woodlands, TX 77381 with interment at 3:30 at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 S, The Woodlands, TX on Friday May 22 between 5pm to 8:30 pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm.

Lori was born in Knoxville, TN on July 23, 1974 to Randy and Jackie Pais. She graduated from McCullough High School in 1993, where she excelled academically, was a member of the cross country team and was selected as an All District soccer player her senior year. Lori graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She was very proud of this achievement. After college she worked in the medical device and services field for seven years servicing hospitals and doctor's offices throughout the country. Later she worked for Woodforest Bank and White House Black Market.

Her son, Michael Mitchener, was born in May 2005, and until her death, was the most important person in her life. Lori was a very beautiful, loving, outgoing and caring person. She had the most beautiful, infectious smile and enjoyed caring for everyone whose path she crossed. She was most dedicated to her son, parents, relatives, friends, and co-workers. Lori especially enjoyed serving others in her community and travelling with her family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elio and Julia Pais of Keystone, WV; Jack and Mary Bullington and Uncle Paul Bullington of Columbus, GA. Lori is survived by her son Michael, her parents Randy and Jackie Pais of The Woodlands, her sister Lisa Pais Johnson, husband Jeff and three nieces Lauren, Savannah, Kaitlyn Johnson of Huntsville, AL, Uncle David Pais of Brooklyn, NY and Great Aunt Bonnie Manning of Houston, TX.

The family extends special thanks for all the doctors and nurses who treated Lori over the years. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in the memory of Lori Pais to St Anthony of Padua Catholic School, 7901 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382 or to a .
