age 84, passed away on May 10, 2012 at her daughter's home in Conroe, Texas. Louise was born on November 6, 1927 in Nacogdoches, Texas. She spent her life taking care of the home and raising her children. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Conroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd "Bill" Gruber; son, Floyd L. Gruber; daughter-in-law, Catherine Grahmann Gruber; and her parents, Bassett B. and Eliza Haltom. She is survived by her daughter, Carroll Woodard and husband Tom; daughter, Natalie Hawkins and husband Kelly; son, Lloyd F. Gruber; grandchildren, Tommy Woodard II, Sheryl Hibler, Daniel Gruber, Peggy Scott, Lynnette Scott and Renee Walker; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 2100 Tickner St., Conroe, Texas 77301. Following a lunch reception at the church, Louise's ashes will be interred in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the .
