Lucy T. Kampstra, 89, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was born on February 1, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Jenny (Stob) Fischer.

Lucy is survived by her children Marjorie (Bob) Smith of Muskegon, MI, James (Sue) Kampstra of Chambersburg, PA, George (Hilary) Kampstra of Springfield, VA, and Cindy (Casey) Riney of Montgomery, TX. Lucy grew up in south suburban Chicago and attended Chicago Christian High School. She married the love of her life, Renny Kampstra, on May 24, 1946. They retired in 1992 to Bradenton, FL, and later moved to Montgomery, TX in 2008. Lucy made each community a more beautiful one with her skills at painting, flower arranging, and decorating. Her creative talents blessed many, and her poetry continues to inspire us all.

Lucy was active in several churches including the Christian Reformed Church in Evergreen Park, IL, the Waynesboro, PA Presbyterian Church, the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church in FL, and most recently, the First United Methodist Church in Conroe, TX.
