Lynnwood Lyle Heasley, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Lynnwood was born on August 21, 1935 in Wink, Texas to Ora and Frank Heasley. Growing up in the West Texas town of Wink, Lynnwood was proud to have been a classmate of Roy Orbison and a member of the Wink Wildcat football team, which won the state championship in Class A football during Lynn's Senior year. Lynnwood spent his Junior year of high school in Conroe, and those fond memories led him to return to Conroe to establish his career and raise his family. Lynnwood worked for 37 years at Huntsman Chemical Company (formerly Jefferson Chemical & Texaco Chemical). He formed many lasting friendships with his fellow employees, and enjoyed attending the monthly luncheons with fellow retirees. Lynnwood was a long time member and a deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Conroe. For the past year, he attended Grace Presbyterian Church, Houston with his daughter and grandchildren.

Lynnwood is preceded in death by his parents, his son Scott Robert Heasley, brothers, Tommy Joe and Hollys Heasley, and sister Carol Heasley Brown. He is survived by his daughter Kellye Helleck, grandchildren Jeffrey Scott Helleck and Leah Nicole Hirtriter, sister Rouye Rush, sister-in-law Olene Heasley, the mother of his children Jean Heasley and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be held in Cashner Colonial Chapel at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 27, 2014 with Rev. Dr. David Green officiating.
