Margaret Dolores Romeo 80, died at home on September 1, 2017 under the loving care of her husband Michael, after a 20-year battle with Parkinson Disease. She was born on June 4, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York to Carlos and Maria Fontanals Ugaldea.

She met Michael while working as a bilingual office manager in NYC. During their marriage they called Brooklyn, Nassau Bahamas, Miami and Oak Ridge North home.

A 45-year resident of ORN, Margaret happily raised her family, served as the 1st City Secretary, a bi-lingual Court interpreter, and held numerous volunteer positions in the community.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Michael; her daughter Teresa Brady, husband Don and their daughter Alyssa Margaret of Spring; her daughter Maria Klabunde, husband Gary, their son Christopher and wife Jena and daughter Victoria of Boerne; her son Joseph Romeo, wife Cuyler and their children Jackson, Bronwyn and Gwendolyn of Tucson; Cousin Cecilia Sendra; dear family in Mexico and Spain; devoted care-giver, Alberta Anzaldua; and many friends.

She relished Good-n-Plenty, reading entire books in single sittings, the beach, eating liver and onions, Bunco, and Neil Diamond. She cooked a mean pork chop and loved olives. She disliked arguing, gum smacking and cursing.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church on Oct. 9 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in Domec Hall. A private interment will be held later that day at Forest Park, The Woodlands.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houston Area Parkinson Society "In Memory of Margaret Romeo" at hapsonline.org
